A canteen of Victorian silver Cutlery, by Chawner & Co., (George Adams), hallmarked London, 1876/7, fiddle, thread and shell pattern, comprising 12 forks, 12 dessert forks, 12 dessert spoons, 6 teaspoons, 6 eggspoons, 4 salt spoons, 4 sauce ladles, a pair of basting spoons, a large soup ladle, a pair of fish servers, sugar nips, mustard spoon, and a butter knife, 76 pieces in total, the serving spoons 22.5cm long, all bearing the Henley family crest, formerly of Leigh House, Chard, Somerset, together with a set of four Edwardian silver oval Open Salts, by Haseler Brothers, hallmarked London 1906, with foliate pierced decoration and blue glass liners, 8cm long, a pair of Victorian silver knife rests, London, 1894 and a pair of Old English pattern salt spoons, Edinburgh 1806, all contained within a velvet lined fitted, three tier oak canteen with lift out trays, brass plaque also bearing family crest, approx. total silver weight 194ozt.
